Detailed Design
The ShipConstructor suite provides a comprehensive range of functions for detailing of structural and mechanical systems within your vessel. All modules work from the common 3D model ensuring that all participants are using the latest design data. This encourages simultaneous detailing across different disciplines and across different zones of the ship.
The starting point for modelling can be your Maxsurf hull model and your Workshop structural model. It is also possible to start from data from other sources.
ShipConstructor is a modular program; this ensures you never buy more than you need and allows staged implementation. Each module can add additional business streams to your business or increase the efficiency of current shipbuilding processes.
ShipConstructor includes the following detailing modules:
Structure | Model internal structure, check interferences, create assembly drawings and profile plots. Part relationships allow automatic updating as changes are made. Import Maxsurf, Workshop or Rhino geometry. | ![]() |
Pipe | Route pipe within the 3D structural model and create 3D spool and arrangement drawings. Pipe catalog includes rules for pipe connections | ![]() |
Equipment | Place Equipment items within the 3D structural model. (This module was formerly called Outfit.) | ![]() |
HVAC | Route HVAC within the 3D structural model. | ![]() |
Penetrations | Approve and generate penetrations for pipe. | ![]() |
